Our Semester 1 2025 program kicked off on Friday 14 February 2025. All welcome. For meetings held at ECU gather from 9:30am for morning tea (bring a mug and $5 for parking) and proceedings commence at 10:00am.

Seminar 1 - 10:30 - 11:45 on 27th May is an Overview that will cover:

• Introduction to Cybersecurity

• Understanding Online Threats: Common scams and fraud tactics targeting seniors.

• How to Recognize Phishing Emails & Fake Websites

• Protecting Devices and Personal Information: How to avoid identity theft.

• Simple Steps to Stay Safe Online: Including tips for social media.

Two follow-up seminars will be based around the issues highlighted by members at the Overview seminar.

10:00 Friday 31 May,  Visit to Mick Bennett Make it Space at the new Shire of Dardanup Building, 1 Council Drive EATON (adjacent to Eaton Fair Shopping Centre).  Tour the Library and Make-It Space and stay for lunch if you wish. Presenter - Angelika Bailey, Author.  Angelika will provide insight into her life journey which culminated this year in the publication of her new book,  "Whatever Happened to that Little Foreign Girl?"

Presenter - Ted Johnson - Conservation volunteer.  Ted has had a long career as a volunteer with the Leschenault Catchment Council and the Leschenault Native Plant Nursery, and will address the conservation of Native Fauna in the South West.

Presenter - Wayne Elliott, District Manager DBCA - Wayne will share his experiences in conservation work in Zululand/South Africa.
